Solution: When you first plugged in your Gizmo! drive, you probably noticed a file called setup.exe. As a special added benefit, we've pre-loaded our drives with Secure-D, a handy tool that lets you divide your drive into private and public zones. If you store sensitive or confidential information on your Gizmo! drive, you'll find this especially useful. No one can access your data unless they have the password. To install Secure-D Software on a computer you want to use with your Gizmo! drive: 1. Insert your USB drive in an open USB port on your computer, and open it as you would any new storage device added to your computer. 2. Open your USB drive using Windows Explorer and copy the Secure-D folder onto your computer. Tip: You should always keep a backup copy of the Secure-D folder on your computer in case you accidentally delete it from your USB drive. 3. Open the Secure-D folder. 4. Open the Windows subfolder. 5. Double-click SDINST.EXE to start the Installer and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation process. 6. Restart your computer. For more detailed information on how to configure and use Secure-D, click on the Help menu within the software. A few more tips: make sure you set a password reminder. Because this software is so secure, there's no way to recover or reset a forgotten password. It's also a good idea to keep a copy of the software on your Gizmo! drive. You'll need to install Secure-D on any computer where you want to access the private partition. Secure-D requires Windows 2000 or XP, and is not compatible with other operating systems.
