Delivery charges Here at Currys, we make every effort to keep delivery charges as low as possible. The cost of delivery varies with the size of the item - please check the table below for current prices. The delivery charge is calculated on a per-order rather than a per-item basis. If you order any number of large products, such as washing machines, fridges, etc there is a single delivery charge of £11.95. This does not include removal of your old product If you order just smaller items such as toasters, MP3 players, DVDs, etc then the delivery charge will be £3.95 or less. If the order is a mix of large and smaller products, then the large product delivery charge of £11.95 will apply. The delivery charge differs between types of product because we use different delivery methods. Delivery of large items such as fridges and washing machines requires at least two people and special delivery vehicles. Smaller items are delivered by Royal Mail or courier. For larger items, you will be required to input your postcode in order to secure stock and a delivery date in your area. Delivery is to the cardholders address only Throughout the site, the prices quoted for our products do not include the delivery charge. When you put an item in your basket, the appropriate delivery charge will be added automatically. You will always be able to see the total price of your order including installation and delivery charges before you buy. Tracking your delivery We will send you an e-mail to confirm receipt of your order, a second e-mail will confirm that we have accepted your order and a third to confirm despatch of your order. You can track the progress of your order by going to 'My Account' on this website after logging in. If your order is being delivered by courier (currently Securicor Omega Express), the second e-mail will provide you with a Securicor parcel number and a link to the Securicor web site, allowing you to track your order right to your doorstep. We will attempt to contact you by telephone or e-mail if there are any unexpected delays. Delivery times For large products (those with a delivery charge of £11.95), we aim to deliver within 7 working days. We will make every effort to deliver on one of the preferred dates you specify when you order. We will call you the evening before to advise you of a four hour time slot during which your product will be delivered. For bank holiday weekends deliveries may be subject to delay up to an additional 2 working days. For smaller products with a delivery charge of £3.95, we aim to deliver within 5 working days. For bank holiday weekends, deliveries may be subject to delay up to an additional 2 working days. If you place your order after 3pm, the next day will be considered the first working day. Unfortunately, we cannot specify an exact date for delivery of smaller products. Smaller items delivered by courier service will normally be delivered to your home between 4pm and 9pm. You will know whether we have despatched your item by courier from the (third) e-mail we send to you confirming despatch. For more details see the section on 'Tracking your delivery' - above. If we despatch by Royal Mail, please allow at least 3 working days for postal delivery. Please contact us to change your delivery only if your product has not arrived within our specified delivery schedules. Delivery Terms and Conditions Delivery is restricted to UK addresses. All deliveries must be signed for (except Royal Mail) and you should always keep your receipt. Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to the channel islands at this time. We are also unable to deliver some larger items to the Isle of Man or the Scottish Islands. Large items (2 man delivery) can not be carried up more than 13 steps. Removing Old Products If you require your old product to be removed & disposed of, simply select the appropriate installation service click here for details Due to EU legislation, we are unable to collect old refrigeration appliance(s). Please contact your Local Authority to arrange environmental disposal of your old refrigeration appliance(s). Click here to search for contact details of your local council.
